Cultural and Creative Federation of the Czech Republic / Kulturní a kreativní federace České republiky.

We aim to be an umbrella organisation for the Czech cultural and creative sector which is now represented by more than 200 professional organisations and NGOs. Some of the creative professions also have not established their association yet. Therefore the voice of Czech culture is fragmented. We observed the effects in practice during pandemics and later when the state began to draft the legislation related to the status of the artist agenda. The fragmentation resulted in confusion and culture lacked an unified front. The Ministry of Culture was overwhelmed by demands. The Federation prepared multiple expert documents, coordinated the sector and improved the legislation passed by the parliament. However, in the end the Czech Republic is still missing a basic legislation for a stable work conditions of artists and creative freelancers.
